Certified Yoga Teacher Training
Little Greene Yoga have been delivering Kids & Teen Yoga Teacher Trainings since 2010. Their trainings have been developed over 20 years of working with children utilising tried and tested techniques, which actually work! They have ‘kept’ students interested and attending their classes from the age of 3 until the age of 18! Teaching life skills and providing a tool box of techniques which have seen them through their educational years with many students then returning as adults.
Little Greene Yoga were the first Registered Kids Yoga School, with Yoga Alliance Professionals, in Scotland. They are recognised for their comprehensive training packages which focus not only on fun but on the physical and emotional development at each age stage.
They pride themselves in training quality instructors with trainings which are hugely practical in nature and focus on developing each trainee’s individual teaching style. As each instructor is closely trained and examined before being awarded the LGY badge - the LGY stamp is recognised as mark of quality and consistency in CHILDREN & TEEN teaching standards.
Kids & Teen Teacher Training
Kids 3 - 8 Years
The Foundation Years (3-8yrs) covers you to teach children aged 3-8yrs. The syllabus is split in two 3-5yrs & 5-8yrs as there is quite a developmental difference in these two age groups. The techniques will and do keep your students engaged throughout this age range. Many children start their yoga journey in the early years and continue until they leave school!
Kids 8 - 12 Years
The 8-12yr age group is one of the most difficult age groups to teach! Techniques used for the younger age group are no longer appropriate and won’t hold the interest of this age group – this is why we separate the training courses! Our course provides everything that is required for this age group - mental stimulation, physical development and FUN!
Teen - Mind and Body
Teenagers more than anyone need to release the everyday stresses and pressures of their lives. Their bodies are changing at an accelerated pace, hormones are suddenly active and emotions are rampant and uncontrollable. Throw into the mix that fact that their brains are rewiring and their preoccupation is with body image and fitting in! Our 60 hour course covers everything!
“Yoga can help them create and develop a nurturing internal voice to encourage each individual to be all they can be, while accepting what they are not, however it needs to be delivered in a manner that they can relate to and motivates them!”
